Lands of the Wildebeest Migration

Luxury Tented Camps and Lodges

These properties are truly the best available while on safari for decor, service, food and ammenities. The design, vision and cuisine behind each property is superb.

Arusha Coffe Lodge

Arusha Coffee Lodge
This is a small luxury hotel built on a working coffee plantation. It is extremely comfortable and conveniently situated near the Arusha airstrip, making it very popular for relaxing pre or post safari. The lodge is made up of 23 luxury rooms, including a honeymoon suite in a converted stable block, and several chalets. The balconies give a spectacular view of Mount Meru and the coffee plantation.

Lake Manyara Tree Lodge

Lake Manyara Tree Lodge
The lodge lies in the heart of a mahogany forest in the southern reaches of Lake Manyara National Park and has been designed to exert minimal impact on the environment. Each of the ten tree houses that serve as accommodation, has been built on stilts in the boughs of ancient mahogany trees and are discreetly tucked away in the forest. The tree houses have been crafted from local timber and makuti (palm fronds) and feature large open decks and spacious rooms with large windows to invite the flourishing forest into the luxurious elegance of each room. The lodge is also located in an area of the park called 'Maji Moto' that few safari-goers visit.

Kirurumu Under Canvas
The Kirurumu camp is a luxury mobile camp, moved seasonally to take best advantage of the vast Serengeti. The camp is used as a base, a spring board for an early morning game drive, a break for a sumptuous lunch, a respite from the heat of the day and the finale to a day's adventure where stories can be swapped around a fire. As a small and intimate camp the staff are on hand just to look after a very limited number of guests and so the level of attention and service is always excellent. Each of the camps 7 safari tents boasts an en suite bathroom, and the camp has a dining room with waiter service for breakfast, lunch, and romantic candle-lit dinners. Or, choose to spend your evening with other guests around the campfire.

Ngorongoro Crater Lodge

Ngorongoro Crater Lodge
Perched high on the Ngorongoro Crater rim, Ngorongoro Crater Lodge overlooks one of the most fascinating volcanic calderas in the world. An important part of Tanzania's incredible northern safari circuit, on the world's largest unbroken caldera, the Crater Lodge provides extraordinary accommodation in a spectacular location. Situated on the topmost reaches of the Ngorongoro Crater rim, the Crater Lodge is a dream-inspiring haven of artisan crafts and burning fire bowls, samovars, fresh roses and sumptuous gourmet delights. It is opulent and yet intimate, with no more than 12 guests in each separate 'camp,' and a very subtle ratio of three staff to each guest.

Tarangire Sopa Lodge

Tarangire Sopa Lodge
Each of Tarangire Sopa Lodge’s 75 luxury rooms is complete with a private lounge, mini bar, and two queen size beds. Ceiling fans cool the rooms, and glass sliding doors open onto a balcony for wonderful views of the landscape and wildlife beyond.
